Hardy Annual The bright green color makes this variety look fresher than the traditional light green Boston types. Widely adaptable and performs well in spring, summer, and fall. High resistance to downy mildew, intermediate resistance to lettuce mosaic virus.

Characteristics
Planting & Care
Soil & Water: Add plenty of compost to the soil to encourage rapid growth. Water evenly and moderately to prevent bitterness.
Planting & Growing: Sow direct or start indoors in flats about 3-4 weeks before transplanting outdoors. Keep soil cool, below 75°F, until germinated. Harden off transplants before planting outdoors. Succession plant every 3 weeks for a continuous supply. Lettuce likes full sun except in hot summer climates where it prefers some shade, especially in the afternoon. Use shade cloth in summer to keep plants cooler.
Harvesting & Storage: Harvest the entire plant when mature, but still young and crisp. All lettuces are at their best when picked as needed and used immediately.
