This biennial produces large, fragrant blooms that open quickly at dusk, with yellow, four-petalled flowers surrounding reddish buds. The flowers reach 2⁄3 open within 10 seconds and fully open within 1-2 minutes, lasting 5-6 weeks or more. Blooms indoors for about a week as a cut flower. The plant starts with a rosette of leaves in its first year, followed by 3-4 ft. yellow spires the second year. It's very hardy and attracts night-flying moths, which pollinate the flowers. Ideal for containers or as a conversation piece.

Growing Instructions:
Biennial. Germination: 65-75°F, 14-21 days. Full sun. Sow May through July in pots or flats, transplant after several true leaves develop. Space 16-18 inches apart. Height: 36-48 inches.
