Summer Squash - Yellow Bush Scallop - Cucurbita pepo
Tender Annual, Heirloom Scallop Yellow Bush is a bush type squash that produces nice yields of flat, round fruit. Also called Patty Pan Squash. Delicious when harvested at the 2-3" size when they are delicate and tender. They are very easy to grow and extremely flavorful.

Planting & Care
Soil and Water: Fertile, well-drained soil with a pH of 6.0–6.8 is best.
Planting and Growing: Start seeds indoors 3-4 weeks before the last frost, or sow seed directly once soils are at least 70°F. Use row covers to provide a physical barrier to many insects. Squash are extremely frost sensitive, so use mulch to heat soils in early spring and use row covers to protect from frost at both ends of the growing cycle.
Harvesting and Storage: Harvest regularly, 2-3 times a week, once plants begin to produce. Cut or gently twist off fruits when they have reached 2-3" in diameter.
