A local favorite in Cajun country since the 1950s. Introduced in 1989 by SESE. Dwarf-type, 2½-4 ft. tall spineless plants produce an early crop of tender 1 in. diameter pods up to 8 in. long. Known for good flavor and widely adapted.
Growing instructions: Annual. Full sun. Plant in well-drained soil with moderate fertility. Space seeds 12-18 inches apart. Harvest when pods reach 6-8 inches long for best flavor and tenderness.
