This indeterminate heirloom tomato, originating from the Black Forest region of Germany, was introduced in 1994 by SESE. It was passed down through Joe Bratka's grandfather, with seed courtesy of Carolyn Male and Craig LeHoullier. Known for its exceptional performance in hot, humid climates, this tomato offers excellent disease resistance, including some protection against late blight.

The smooth, round, pink-purple fruits weigh 5-7 oz and are one of the most blemish-free tomatoes available. They have a soft, tender texture, and the fruits are easy to harvest, with some dropping from the vine at peak ripeness. This variety is an excellent all-purpose tomato, known for its superb flavor and ease of peeling.
