Huge, fine heads of buttery, lightly savoyed leaves.

Dense heads feature lightly serrated, wavy leaves with slightly blanched centers. In trials, Encino showed exceptional sweetness and a buttery texture, forming larger heads and demonstrating better resistance to bottom rot than Panisse. Growing Instructions:

• Baby Leaf: Sow 96M seeds per 100' bed (~4 oz) or 960M seeds per 1,000' bed (~2.5 lb), using ~960 seeds/ft on 36" beds (16 rows/bed, 6' row centers).
• Full Size: Grow 360 plants per 100' bed (~1/32 oz) or 3,600 plants per 1,000' bed (~1 oz), using 10" spacing with 3 rows per 36" bed (5' center beds).
• Per Acre: Approximately 31M plants (~2 oz) with 10" spacing.
