This melon, with its salmon-orange flesh, traces its origins back to 1965 and was developed by Clemson/AES. Known for its superior disease resistance, it outperforms many hybrid cantaloupes, offering resilience against Alternaria leaf spot, powdery mildew, and downy mildew.

Thriving in the Mid-Atlantic region and hot, humid climates, this variety is the most Downy Mildew-resistant and productive among 38 melon varieties trialed in 2013. The netted rind encases round-oval fruits, measuring approximately 6-7 inches in diameter, and is renowned for its exceptional keeping qualities. Harvest at full slip for optimal sweetness, even in cooler, wet conditions.
