Katana F1 Shishito Pepper

This is the first organic hybrid shishito available on the market.

Extremely prolific, bush-habit plants do not require staking. Elegant, pale-green fruit (slightly darker than the open-pollinated Shishito) shows some variation in shape. When you get a hot one, it’s spicier than the open-pollinated variety, though most fruit remain mild. Excellent for baking or blistering on the grill. Performs well in trials across Florida, the Northeast, and California. Bred by EarthWork Seeds.

Growing Instructions:

• Plant approximately 670 plants per 1,000' or 9,700 plants per acre (~11M seeds/acre, ~2.75 oz), using 18" spacing in double rows 18" apart on 6' center beds.
• Transplants: Space 12–18" apart in rows 18–30" apart, or in 2 rows 24" apart on plastic-mulched beds.
