Galletta Strawberry is an early-season strawberry variety prized for its exceptional sweetness, vibrant red color, and reliable productivity. Developed in North Carolina, Galletta produces medium to large berries with a firm texture and outstanding flavor, making it a favorite for both home gardeners and fresh-market growers. This vigorous, adaptable variety offers an excellent balance of sweetness and firmness, delivering some of the very first strawberries of the season.

Plants are shipped as bare-roots in bundles of 10 or 25 plants.

Cultivation Tips
• Soil requirements: Plant in well-drained, fertile soil rich in organic matter. Incorporate compost before planting and avoid low areas where water may pool.
• Sunlight: Full sun (6–8+ hours daily) for best fruit size and sweetness.
• Planting depth: Set plants so the crown sits just above the soil surface—not buried and not exposed.
• Spacing: Space plants about 12 inches apart with rows approximately 36 inches apart for good airflow and healthy growth.
• Watering: Water thoroughly after planting and maintain consistent moisture throughout the growing season. Mulching helps conserve moisture and suppress weeds.
• Harvesting: Pick berries when fully red and firm. Harvest every few days during peak season.
• Landscape use: Excellent for garden beds, borders, containers, ground cover, and edible landscapes thanks to its compact habit and attractive foliage.
