🌱Start indoors 4–6 weeks before last frost, or direct sow in the garden once soil reaches 45°F. Collards are one of the most cold-tolerant brassicas — light frost actually sweetens the flavor.

☀️Plant in full sun with rich, well-drained soil. Space 18–24" apart to allow the large leaves to develop fully. Works well in containers with adequate depth and regular feeding.

💧Water consistently and mulch around the base to retain moisture. Collards are heat tolerant but produce best with steady irrigation during dry spells.

✂️Harvest outer leaves as needed for a continuous cut-and-come-again crop, or harvest the whole plant. Best enjoyed sautéed low and slow with garlic, onion, and a splash of apple cider vinegar.
