🌱Direct sow in early spring or fall, or succession sow every 2–3 weeks for continuous harvest. Lettuce germinates best in cool soil (60–65°F) — surface sow and press lightly, as seeds need light to germinate.

☀️Plant in full to part sun. In summer, afternoon shade extends the harvest window and slows bolting — the red and purple varieties hold their color and flavor longer in cooler conditions.

💧Keep soil consistently moist — lettuce has shallow roots and dries out quickly. Water gently to avoid disturbing surface-sown seeds. Mulch lightly to retain moisture between waterings.

✂️Harvest as baby greens at 28 days by cutting 1" above the soil for a cut-and-come-again crop, or let heads develop for full-size harvest. The mix of reds, purples, and greens makes the most visually striking salad bowl you’ve ever served.
